NDZULO's TIGBlog
Despite the Load Shedding
|
Since February 1, Cote d’Ivoire is experiencing an intentionally-engineered electrical power outage implemented by the electricity utility company to avoid total blackout of the power system. As a result people can spend up to 8 hours (sometimes more) without electricity.
At our IndéniéBlog meeting on Friday 5, we were about to open a new member’s email addresses (fundamental information in the

Extra Nice Pictures…
|
Do you remember the photo I published showing women announcing the 2010 yams festival in Abengourou? Well the event took place as announced but unfortunately, I could not attend it because of a loaded schedule.
However, you can enjoy many extra nice pictures of the event on two sources I know, namely:
Royaumeindenie.org, the official web portal of the Indénié Kingdom, where are published many

I Featured on Radio Avenue Web N°12
|
For me, February 2010 started with my voice over the waves of a show known as "Radio Avenue Web". This show is part of the well known Avenue225.com web portal. Avenue225.com is a clean example of citizen journalism with the aim to talk about things that happen daily in Cote d'Ivoire. The portal is run by a team of dynamic volunteers among whom the famous Ivorian blogger "Yoro".

Yam Festival Announced in Abengourou
|
The 2010 edition of the Yam Festival in Abengourou will start on January 29 at 2pm. This information was published on the Indénié kingdom's twitter account on January 7, but while I was leaving for Abidjan on Friday 22, the event was being re-announced by women (picture below) moving in the streets of Abengourou. Nobody nor vehicle ought to have come close to these women otherwise would have

One step at the time!

The 2010 African Nation Cup (ANC) in Angola is not helping Abengourou bloggers meet like it is the case with those in Bamako who tweet the encounters live from a cyber café, under the leadership of Boukary Kanté. Here, it is hard to meet, especially on a day when Cote d’Ivoire or Cameroon is playing. However, on Thursday 21, though the Indomitable Lions had a game, we met for up to 1 hour.At the

From a distance over 3,000Km from Cabinda (Angola), this Abengourou-based supporter of the Ivorian Elephants is appropriately dressed and ready to watch his team play against Burkina Faso. While confidently waiting for 4pm (local time at which the match will start), he moves about selling DVDs.<!--google_ad_client = "pub-9199453903524075"; 300x250, created 11/01/10 */google_ad_slot = "1504578217
